The friendship of confirmed bachelors Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy is put to the test when Ollie falls head over heels for a museum curator’s daughter. As escorts for a sacred Egyptian exhibit, sponsored by a mysterious importer, the boys are blamed when the mummy of pharoah Houtah turns out missing. The hijacks turn hair-raising as Stan and Ollie run from the importer, the police and the rampaging, re-animated remains of the 3,000-year-old mummy, who intends to make Ollie’s dream girl his bride.

This time, even the magician himself will be shocked and amazed by what happens!The Bullfighters:When detectives Laurel and Hardy head to Mexico City to catch a pretty thief, they manage to lose the girl…and end up in the bullfighting ring! The boys are hot on the trail of Larceny Nell when it is discovered that Stan bears a striking resemblance to Spanish matador Don Sebastian. Soon, the senoritas are fawning, and an agent wants to hire Stan to impersonate the bullfighter, who is late arriving in town. Only problem is, when Sebastian still hasn’t shown by the day of the big fight, a terrified Stan must don the gilded jacked in his stead. Yell bravo for the riotous antics in this south-of-the-border classic!

FAMILY FEUDSStan and Ollie are often cast in the roles of married men. Their wives take revenge when, instead of simply telling the truth, Stan and Ollie either sneak away to a lodge convention or nightclub, hold back parts of their salary or else try to bluff their way through an account of a stage show they haven’t actually seen. The ‘everyman’ aspect of Laurel and Hardy’s characters drew them towards tackling numerous occupations. It was therefore inevitable that they should turn to various aspects of service life. This collection brings together the team’s most memorable roles in uniform, such as army life in the First World War, as part-time soldiers on a weekend camp and, as a means of soothing Ollie’s broken heart, in the French Foreign Legion. Joining the US Navy leads them into battle on a boating lake and, on land, in a traffic jam. They are also shanghaied aboard a ghost ship, create havoc on an ocean liner and, buy their own boat and fill it with water to detect the leaks. Two classic Laurel & Hardy shorts, accompanied by rare extended-length versions in Spanish – with Stan and Ollie speaking their own dialogue! The theme of this compilation is married life, with supporting actress Anita Garvin playing Mrs. Laurel in Blotto, Be Big and in the latter’s Spanish-language equivalent, Los Calaveras.
